the woman is right (on the money that is!!!)
Sun, 17 Oct 2004, 12:53 pmjust saw andrew lloyd webber's "woman in white"...
basically...
maria friedman is the standout in the show, her voice is strong and emotionally charged and her comedic timing is inspirational... (watch out for those scenes between her character marian and michael crawfords count fosco pure genius!)
michael crawford has been amazingly transformed into the rather chubby and villanous fosco, this was the only time i have seen him perform live and i have to say that it was an honour! he truly is a marvellous talent... voice is superb and better yet his characterisation doesnt falter for a moment.
angela christian, if you've heard her on the "thoroughly modern millie broadway cast album" you'll already know how talented she is. her agility and vocal characterisation are astounding.
im sorry i dont have the program with me so i have forgotten the other three leads names but i will endeavour to provide them at a later date with some comments on there performance. (young male lead potrayed by waapa graduate!)
the sets were amazing, very imaginative and the direction was superb. i know this sounds like a die-hard fans praise but this show was quite literally the best performance i have ever seen.
Thou venomed pottle-deep foot-licker!
