Phantom of the Opera! THE MOVIE!

http://phantomthemovie.warnerbros.com/

yes its true, Andrew Lloyd Webber's masterpiece has come to the silver screen! its due out in december 2004 and although it doesn't showcase any "stars" i believe it will be fantastic! It's got the haunting tunes and i have a sneaking suspicion that some of those special effects used in the stage version, will look even better on film!

ps. only concern i have is that meg will be played by a "b-list" english actress who appeared on a reality cook-off show...

Actually, she was on a British soap called Brookside, and she admits to having problems getting rid of the cockney accent.

There are some 'stars' in it; Miranda Richardson is Madame Giry, Simon Callow is Monsieur Andre and Minnie Driver is Carlotta. Shoud be interesting.

Bring on the music of the night!!!!!!!!! ;-)

Re: phantom of the celluloid!

hey simon,

about the "stars" bit i had no idea! i think i was concentrating on trying to find out who was playing christine, the phantom and raoul more than the others...

about the b-list english actress... yes i know she was on brookside but it was "hell's kitchen" that has thrust her into the spotlight... it was a gordon ramsey thing... and it WAS only a joke, i promise! she has recently been starring in the west end production of "CHICAGO" as roxie i believe and her reveiws so far havent been to bad...

anyway cant wait to see the movie!
