OPERA AUDITIONS

Hi! my name is Sakhumzi Mbele from 'SA'. I need your help on opera auditions. I'm currently working for the Lion King company in Netherlands. In South Africa I use to work for the Cape Town Opera company where i've improved my experience of singing. Before this company i use to help school choirs for their competitions.

Every state in Australia has its own opera company (Except VIC BOO!) and the best way to get an audition is to send an enquiry to the contact mail address with your resume.

I live in Melbourne and I know OA audition twice a year; I auditioned last time in late August. The enquiry e-mail address there is jobs@opera-australia.org.au

P.S. When it comes to musical theatre, I am agentless and I have know idea where to look. If anyone can help me let me know (I would prefer not to go through an agent at this stage).

Actually, Victoria IS about to get its own Opera Company; Victorian Opera!

AND...

Victorian Opera will hold auditions in the week of January 30, 2006 for adult singers interested in being considered for professional principal and chorus roles, and for singers and conductors and repetiteurs to be considered for positions in a Young Artists Program.
