Chorus
Mon, 24 May 2004, 10:14 amThe Australian Opera Studio is seeking men and women (particularly "men") to be involved in their chorus.
The works we are currently working on are "the Redemption" by Gounod and "Don Quichotte" by Massenet. The Gounod is an oratorio and the Massenet is an opera. Both of these works are to be performed in concert/semi-staged in our studios in Midland.
Redemption 27 & 29 August
Don Quichotte 24 & 26 September
We will also be performing a fully staged production of Marriage of Figaro at His Majesty's Theatre in November.
Rehearsals are on Friday nights 7.00 - 9.30pm. We have only just commenced work on the above pieces so please don't feel you have missed out.
If you are interested in being part of Perths most exciting new company please call Mike on 9250 4688.

Re: Chorus - come & join us!
Mon, 24 May 2004, 06:21 pmHi everyone - as a past & current member, I strongly recommend any Perth-ites interested in singing of any capacity to have a go.
Because I'm pretty lazy :-) here's a link to my previous post re: "Perth's best-kept secret"

This is a wonderful opportunity to work with some of the best people in the industry (local & international) & learn heaps by osmosis while being involved in a very dynamic genre.
Email me if you have any queries!
Cheers - Lisa
Thou tottering tickle-brained foot-licker!
