80's Casting Call
Wed, 31 Mar 2004, 05:34 pmBACK TO THE 80Â’S AUDITION NOTICE!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay dudesÂ… dust off your legwarmers, pull out your blue eye shadow....and come back to a time when the Atari was cutting edge technology, actors became Presidents, Rick Astley & Michael Jackson were sex gods, and denim ruled the world!! This is going to be TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
"Back To The 80's!" - the highest performed show in Australia and New Zealand in 2003, is hitting Penrith Panthers and Parramatta Riverside Theatres in a huge pro-am production for three weeks in September / October 2004.
This show is packed with the greatest hits of the 80's - Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, Girls Just Want To Have Fun, Footloose, Mickey, Love Shack, 500 Miles, Total Eclipse Of The Heart, Video Killed The Radio Star, Material Girl, Walking On Sunshine, Never Gonna Give You Up, Time Of My Life, Centerfold...and many more
There are plenty of roles in the show - so if you can dance, sing, act, rollerskate, rap, breakdance, skateboard, yo-yo, or have any other tragic eighties ability - WE WANT YOU!! Please note: We are auditioning for unpaid roles only.
There will be an orientation night on the 7th of April 2004 @ 7:30pm (Pennant Hills Bowling Club – Yarrara Road, Pennant Hills), where you can learn more about the show, the production team, and ask any questions you want. Auditions can be booked on the night also.
Auditions will be held at the Parramatta Riverside Theatres on the 28th, 29th and 30th of April, with final callbacks and dance audition on the 1st of May 2004.
Auditionees should prepare one pop song from the 80Â’s era, and bring either a backing CD / tape or sheet music in your key.
Any dancers who want to strut their 80Â’s moves, please prepare a 30 second routine, and bring your CD / Tape with you.
To book an audition time, please call Luke Joslin on 0419 203 814, after 5pm (keep trying if you donÂ’t get through the first time). Please note that due to large audition numbers, auditionees may not perform their entire song. Please bring a photo and bio to the auditions, even if you have previously emailed these through.
Attached to this email, is a document which gives details of the main characters in the show, as well as the songs that they sing.
