Hi everyone,
Was just wondering if someone could recommend a good singing teacher in Sydney .. preferably a female. I'm 21 and have always wanted to sing so I figure it's about time I learnt. Dont really want to take it too seriously .. I'd just love to learn enough to be able to be involved in a musical and fulfill my childhood dream of playing the part of Eponine in Les Mis!! :)

Thanks everyone,

Amy xx

Re: Singing teacher in Sydney

Your dream is oh so familiar to me!
The good news is that I have just been cast myself in that very role!!!

You should try contacting Natalie Gamsu below, a friend sent me these details but sorry she isnt my teacher so I cant comment first hand on what she is like.

I believe her prices are $25 per half hour and $50 per hour, which is pretty good value for money for a quality teacher.

"VOCAL TRAINING FOR SINGERS & PRESENTERS

Acclaimed New York vocalist and performer Natalie Gamsu is now offering private tuition to individuals wanting to pursue singing training, vocal techniques and/or presentation speaking.

Natalie herself is the recipient of 3 New York MAC awards, a DARLO award and has been nominated for a series of other awards. She has headlined several seasons not only within New York, but in London, France, Los Angeles, South Africa and most recently Sydney.

This acclaimed artist and teacher is now for the first time offering to share her wisdom and technique with dedicated students.

Lessons are available in ½ hour or 1 hour blocks Monday to Friday between 10am and 9pm in a private and secure studio located in Balmain.

To enquire further, please contact 0403 828853 to secure your place within her limited schedule. Please pass this onto anyone else you think maybe interested."

Re: Singing teacher in Sydney

Natalie I am not looking for a singing teacher, but I have heard you sing in New York, and was wondering if you planned to be back here anytime soon for any engagements? I am a songwriter, and I do have material that I believe would be good for you. ( I once spoke to you about I called the Algonquin Hotel and they put me in touch with Don Smith, who said he believed you were in Austrailia. So I persued the internet more robustly. Please let me hear from you.
Happy New Year.
