Depends how old they are.
One of the first plays I did at school was the Pied Piper of Hamelin.
Or if they're a little older, something like Gammer Gurton's Needle is fun.
The kids like them both cos they're chaotic and silly.
Hope I've given you some ideas,
Good Luck!

You could always try "Pippin" great for any size cast, but again depends on their age.

You could also try "Annie" or "Oliver!" (girls dressed as boys works well if you have the usual imbalance). If they're in high school then you might also be able to get away with "Grease" or "A Slice of Saturday Night" depending on whether you think some of the content is a little too adult. "Slice" really only needs a four-piece rock band and as some leads play two roles, you can split them up between others to give more people a go. At high school I also did "West Side Story" and we used scaffolding as the sets which looked great for the street scenes. "Fame - The Musical" is also a good option. A friend of mine has just done "Man of Steel" with her high school kids too.

Hope this helps!
