Goddesses the musical

I invite all fans of musical theatre to attend the opeing of a brand new musical on the gold coast This december.

Goddesses is Wendy's second musical. Wendy wrote the script and co-wrote the music with Ian Camilleri. The show provides a number of rousing numbers, including "Because I can!", "You were Talking About Me" and "I'm in Charge of Heaven!" matched with several sweet, mellow pieces, including "All That is Lovely is Hiding," "Where Is the Man?" and "The Dark is my Friend."
Matched with a humourous script, Goddesses touches on all those issues pertinent to humans and, indeed, Gods and Goddesses.

The Story
You would imagine that life as a God or Goddess would be glorious, blissful and carefree. But perhaps Hera herself describes what life truly is up in Heaven:
BORING!

Bored with her life in Heaven, Hera has the novel idea of going to Earth. Supported by the Goddesses, Hera's main problem is getting past her controlling husband Zeus, who is determined to make sure that she stays precisely where she is. When Hera finally makes it down, though, things don't turn out quite how she intended it. After so many years of staying in Heaven, it seems that most have forgotten that when a God goes down to Earth with kind thoughts and desires to do the right thing, they forget their name...

Goddesses is a hilarous tale based on the Greek Gods and Goddesses. The main focus is upon the love-hate relationship shared by the King and Queen of the Gods, Hera and Zeus. Also in the tale is the raging nymphomaniac (who never sets fire to anything!), Aphrodite, her egotistical lover, Apollo, the beautiful virgin sisters, Athena and Artemis, the gossiping Hermes, Hephaestus, the self-pitying cripple who is husband to Aphrodite, the Mistress of the Dark, Hecate, the sleazy opportunist Pan and the suave, deliciously evil King of Hell, Hades.

The show runs from the 12th to the 22nd of December 2002
