Tenor sought for Blue Room Show
Thu, 19 Sept 2002, 11:07 pmOpera West and The Naked Emotion Ensemble are presenting "Mozart and Salieri" at the Blue Room (Perth) in November. Featuring the mini-play by Pushkin and the forty minute opera by Rimsky-Korsakov, the show will run from November 20-30, with rehearsals beginning in early October.
Our tenor (in the role of Mozart) has had to withdraw for health reasons, and due to the now comparatively short lead-up time, we are quite desperate to secure a replacement. This person will ideally be a lyric tenor, with good music skills, good acting ability, and a concern for text as well as music (the opera is to be performed in English). They will also be dependable, committed, and professional.
Performances will be on consecutive evenings over two weeks (relax, it's not even close to being a big sing), and the production is to be run on a profit-share basis.
Could all interested persons please call the director, David Meadows, on 0417 789 845.
Thank you.
