PUBLIC APOLOGY - to the band of Little Women at Roleystone
Tue, 17 Jan 2012, 11:06 amDear Band members
My deepeest and sincerest apologies that you think you have been snubbed by not being asked to perform for our excerpt at the Finley Awards. Please know that the decision was not based on any perceived judgement of you or your abilities.
Seeing as both our MDs were out of the state by the time the excerpt was required to be ready (ie LAST Friday), and seeing as, of all the excerpts, ours was the one that really couldn't be given any leeway (for a number of external reasons not to do with the production). It was thought best to handball the accompaniment to someone else.
I now know that you thought this was a slap in the face, and I am sorry, but please believe me that was not my intention.
As both of our MDs were away on holiday, I thought it would be incredibly rude to bother them with this (I'm sorry, that is what I was brought up to believe), and then we were caught with the problem that going to you directly could have been interpreted as sneaking around behind their backs...
I am sorry that you feel that I have hurt you, but please see it from point of view. I know that you feel what I did was extremely rude, but please see it from my point of view that any other course of action could be seen as equally if not more rude, and I took what I considered to be the lesser of the evils...
Once again I am really sorry
Paul Treasure
