PHOENIX DREAMS THE MUSICAL

Pio Productions present 'PHOENIX DREAMS' written by Theresa Pio Calling all Actors, Singers, Dancers, Beat boxers, B-boys/Hip Hop Dancers and Crews between ages 16 to 26 years old for a musical production. MAIN ACTORS ARE: (some maybe required to sing or dance or do both) These are the ages of the character but anyone between the ages of 16-26yrs can audition for the roles. PHOENIX: 17 year old Male: Prefer a male Actor/Dancer/Singer who is a mix of Australian and Pacific Islander background which is absolute vital to the main role. But if you believe you look the part and can act the part too of a Charismatic, Dreamy and Intuitive Australian&Islander we welcome these challenged actors too! MADISON: 17 yr old Female: Any nationality welcomed, Actor and dancer preferred. Maddy is abit of a Beautiful Misfit! STORM: 17 year old Male: Prefer Islander or of Islander heritage for this role. He is one of Phoenix's Best Friend. Storm is the typical popular boy in high school who wins the girls affections, he is in a relationship with his girlfriend Kim. ARI: 17 yr old Male: White Australian or Caucasian preferred for this role. Phoenix's other Best Friend. He is one of the comic relief in this production. An Ambitious and Happy go-Lucky Person! BEBE: 17 yr old Male: Islander or of Islander heritage role. Is a gay Islander boy comfortable in his own skin, funny, smart and is the other comic relief in this production. His cousin is Storm. PHARRELL: In his early 20's. Male: Phoenix's brother who is irresponsible, unreliable but laidback and spends his time smoking pot. Again prefer a male actor/dancer who is a mix of Australian and Pacific Islander background but if you believe you look the part and can act the part we would like to see you at the auditions too. IOSEFA: 43 yr old male: A Pacific Islander male actor who can play Phoenix's father. Iosefa is a strict Islander father who is stubborn, protective and has a scary presence about him! All actors are asked to prepare their own monologues to be no longer than 5 minutes maximum. Then you will be asked to do a short reading on the spot for the role you wish to audition for. B-BOY/ HIP HOP DANCERS AND CREWS.All dancers must turn up at 10 am sharp to learn a short routine with the Choreographer Josh. The dance routine will be shown only from 10am for 30 minutes before any dance auditions. So arrive 5 min early. • First you will present your own dance routine no longer than 4 minutes • Second you will be asked to present the dance routine you were just taught by Josh our Choreographer SINGERS AND BEAT-BOXERS We are looking for Singers. We are looking for Singers who can write and perform their own songs as well . Also for those singers who can sing their owns sings accoustically with a guitar would be a bonus but not necessary. Depending on your own material if it relates to the themes of the musical production, this maybe an opportunity to showcase your song/s via our musical production. All Singers will be required to sing only one song for no longer than 4 minutes. All Beat Boxers will be required to prepare one piece only for no longer than 4 minutes. RESULTS OF WHO MADE THE CUT WILL BE POSTED AT OUR WEBSITE ONLY. More info revealed later about this.
