How many times you do you

How many times you do you feel you have to post this!?!? Clearly you're not getting many people auditioning... so hopefully you'll cancel and leave this great show for another creative team that can actually do it justice.

What a dip stick

Let them try or do your own version yourself to show how much better you really are (NOT). Jerking off like you do only shows your another theatre australia dip stick.

WHAT A JOKE

It's Playlovers they have plenty of people to audition for the show they are all very incestial remember..... i think its a joke that they would attempt such a musical. If they cast the same people like they do all the time ill definatley remember to bring earplugs.
jmuzzThu, 10 July 2008, 03:32 pm

Incestial?

Clearly not someone who uses a dictionary on an everyday basis then? Also, try a comma every now and then and perhaps an apostrophe or two. I won't even tackle where you've written "ill definatley". Given you're too moronic to even put a sentence together, I doubt you'd be entrusted with a licence to drive to Hackett Hall to attend the auditions James. I did two shows at Playlovers last year which were the only two shows I've ever done there. I'd be happy to return any time as the people who run Playlovers are a lovely bunch. I also attended "Seussical" and "Eurobeat" and found both were performed exceedingly well. You do David Young and co who work energetically to run that company an extreme disservice with your comments James. I say it again - you're a moron. I have no idea why people have recently taken delight in slamming people such as Kristen or Paul Treasure or,for that matter, an entire company such as Playlovers. Perhaps such people could better use their time learning to be literate?

To the general idiots:

To the general idiots: Please grow up. Whether or not you like Kristen's work is irrelevant- she is determined and always experiementing with new things and doing a great thing by giving people the oppurtunity to experience this little known musical. It's pretty easy to sit back and critcise; not so easy to actually get out there and do things like Kris is. The personal attacks that have been coming up against her and her colleagues are ridiculous and embarrassing for Perth people in general. I wish I could have auditioned! Good luck with it all.

a friend of mine did a show

a friend of mine did a show with her (she was just in the cast also) and said that kristen is the nastiest person that she has ever met.
Walter PlingeSat, 12 July 2008, 05:46 pm

Ive done SEVERAL shows with

Ive done SEVERAL shows with her and she is one of the NICEST people ive ever met. this website has become nothing more than a toilet cubicle wall. as a person who loves acting, this is a great source for finding out whats on out there and what i can audition for (or attend). with human waste like you on this website constantly polluting it with your immature, brainless character-assassinations, im inclined to search elsewhere. im probably not alone in this sentiment......

Yay!

Yes, it does seem to. Simply email a few ppl who you know care about the site and it's integrity and a concerted group "vote down" does wonders. Will bear this in mind. Hope the auditions went well and every success to the cast and crew of "Bare".

CRAP CASTING

Im sorry to hear people trash talk but when it comes to this show i would have to say the way the auditions were held were so so ridiculous. Not only did the woman playing the musical director have no idea what she was doing. People yet again in the tradition of Beauty and the Beast were promised parts. Im sorry but this is so unprofessional and without naming names im sorry but TYLER for you to recieve a phone call from Kristen as the director and then winge and moan about not getting the part and then have Kristen turn around and be silly enough to offer you this part im sorry but this musical is vocal and you most definately have the voice to pull off the strongest part and shame on you if you think by whining and complaining to the director that you will get the part every time then you really need a reality check. 2 people were promised parts in this show and both recieved call backs both recieved parts. The Priest was cast as a Baritone and the part is a Tenor... and Kristens words i dont want and students that are currently studying in the show as i want a focused cast yet there are 2 WAAPA students that have been cast ... i guess its their loss because WAAPA will see their real commitment to the institute and wont ever get into BA. i think this show was very badly cast and the way things were done were very very unprofessional. I wish this show so so so much luck because you really need it .... and this isnt sour grapes i didnt even audition i just hear these things in the grapevine
dancektpFri, 18 July 2008, 04:57 pm

Casting

I am surprised that you seem to know so much about the cast when it hasn't even been finalised. I NEVER promised anyone a part. I don't work like that. ALL parts were auditioned equally. And I have never said that I didn't want anyone who was a student. I am a student myself and so are both my assistant directors. So therefore according to my own words I don't want me, or them, involved. Hmmmm? How does that work? Whoever you are I am interested in knowing who your contact is as you have been gravely mis-infomred
jeffhansenFri, 18 July 2008, 08:14 pm

Casting

I find it interesting that someone who didn't audition, and so I'm guessing wasn't present, can purport to know so much about what went on. Sounds to me like a friend who auditioned unsuccessfuly has been having a whinge. I have no problem with asking people to come along to audition, if I feel they may suit the part. This doesn't mean they are promised a role. I may even precast a role or two, if I am certain the person is exactly right for it, but this will be announced to all auditionees. Good luck with the show Kristen. Hope it is a success.
Walter PlingeFri, 18 July 2008, 10:51 pm

Trash is for the garbage - not this site.

First of all - LEARN HOW TO WRITE!! If you're gonna leave a ridiculously unsubstantiated rant - oh, sorry, a 'comment' - you really shouldn't waste anymore of the bewilderd reader's time than you already have by making them re-read 'sentences' to figure out just what it is you're going on about. Get your story straight. I don't personally see the point to this site if it has been reduced to "communal-bitch-session.com" - that's why i never go on here anymore. But when a ludicrous claim is made like that from an isolated source that "didnt even audition", i feel i should say something to put the record straight. 1. No parts were promised to anyone before auditions were held as far as i'm aware - everyone had the chance to 'show their stuff' in their individual auditions. If they lucked-out, too bad. 2. Tyler DID NOT get offered the part by "winge[ing] and moan[ing]" to Kristen, so therefore it was not a plausible reason for offering the part to him - they are Kristen's own and, i'm sure, perfectly validated reasons. (If you've seen Tyler perform, you'll know why they are validated :-)) 3. I DO agree with you on one point: "...this musical is vocal and you most definately have the voice to pull off the strongest part..." A typo on your half? Probably. Is it true? Definitely! 4. It is obvious that the "2 WAAPA students that have been cast" believe that they are capable of balancing this production as well as their studies, otherwise they would never have auditioned. Ideally, the only thing 'WAAPA' will see is their commitment to their passion for Musical Theatre. They want people with talent, maturity & experience - i think that counts you out, doesn't it? 5. Well maybe not YOUR 'sour grapes', but i guess they don't fall far from the grapevine, so whoever's grapes they are, tell them to build a bridge and get over it. Regardless, this production has quite a few talented cast members, and while the production may have something to prove to a few disbelievers out there, give it a f-ing chance!!! They've only just had auditions for crying out loud! Next time - if anyone's gonna write something on this site, make it constructive, not personal.
Walter PlingeSat, 19 July 2008, 11:53 am

Bare informant

Yes I agree with you Kristen who is this mis-informed person who keeps giving out, bad and incorrect information? I think it is the same bitter twisted person/people who have been slagging off at Playlovers and other directors. I have received my share of derogatory, cruel and totally blatant lies over this past year. I like you would love to meet these people face to face. They would never dare reveal themselves as they are gutless, pathetic and not worthy to be in our productions! Hold your head up high Kristen, all the best for a wonderful season.
Walter PlingeMon, 21 July 2008, 08:50 pm

Auditionee

Well as someone who auditioned for a part may i firstly say man people who are quick to judge and two bunch of f-ing bitches. I have seen a few of Kristen's works in the past few months starting with the Babes in the woods Panto and then her as a performer in Godspell. I think Kristen is a beautiful girl and you guys need to give her a break. This site i thought was for people to look for auditions and give FAIR and NICE feedback to spread the word about theatre in Perth. As we all know perth is quite small but if you keep bagging shows the small amount of shows that we do have will vanish. And remember guys its AMATEUR theatre. When at the auditions i felt very comfortable in a theatre i had never been in and everyone was really nice. the 2 theatre owners were really lovely and it felt like family as soon as i walked in the door. I also asked for feedback from Kris on my audition and everything she said was extremely fair. Give her a break and get your head out of your ass. i wish Playlovers and Kristen the best of luck.... kisses and hugs see you on a stage somewhere Cal

Are Cast Positions All Filled

I was wondering amongst the bickering if any positions are still available within this show I am available and willing. Glynn MOORE Western Australia

I too heard about the

I too heard about the re-casting situation of Tyler. Whether its true or not, the decision comes down to the creative team and I seriously hope that the director hasn't let her friendship get in the way of her professionism. After all. This show has already started on the backfoot due to critism and I am sure the creative team wouldn't make any drastic decisions to stir the pot! Well I hope not!
