Roleystone Theatre is proud to have the rights to "By Jeeves" for its premiere West Australian performance. The season will commence on 30th November 2007 for eight performances.

This wonderful comedy is a collaboration between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Alan Ayckbourne and follows the adventures of Bertie Wooster. Bertie is looking forward to enlivening a charity benefit at a church hall when his beloved banjo mysteriously goes missing. Assisted by the unflappable Jeeves, Bertie instead entertains the audience with an improvised account of how he and two chums - with, as one song puts it, "a collective I.Q. of around 42" - all got their names and identities confused in the course of one riotously raucous weekend. This tale of escalating chaos and labyrinthine high jinx unfolds to the accompaniment of one of Andrew Lloyd Webber's most vivacious and sprightly scores. BY JEEVES cleverly intertwines the twin English passions for amateur theatrics and bumbling silliness, taking us back to a time when flirty girls pursued men, not careers, and where good breeding took precedence over brainpower.

Auditions will take place at Roleystone Theatre on 4th and 5th August. Please refer to the auditions section of this site for details.

By Jeeves

It got pulled. I was asked to come up with a replacement ASAP. By Jeeves was fortunately available. Bertie Wooster is the most difficult role to cast. I am looking for a show-stealing actor for this part and will hopefully find one. I have noticed that my posting for the auditions has not yet been listed, hopefully this will be in the Auditions section by the end of today. To all those who read this, they are to be held at Roleystone Theatre on 4th and 5th August. You can book through me on 0402009777 or drakaar@netspace.net.au Regards, Rory

Thanks Paul, It's good to advertise praise for this show, as it's pretty special and a great one for the whole cast. As always auditions are not lacking from females but we still seem to be struggling with males at the moment. Hopefully this will change in the next few days. The audition details are now on the 'What's on' section of this site, so please all you men, take a look. Have a blast with your production Paul. My best to all the cast!! Rory
