a chorus line !

hey i have an audition for a chorus line coming up with a very prestigious amateur theatre company and was wondering if people would thinkg it worth going to the audition if one has no dance experience, bar a few shows that they have been in looking forward to your opinions. daniel

For sure go for it, thats how experience begins you start from somewhere and work your way up, but i also advise if this is something you really want to do, after this show go check out some places for formal training...because sometimes thats what may make the difference between you and someone else getting the part!! So chin up and go for it, if you belive in urself then they will too... CHOOKAS!!! TASHA

heya - not long ago i did this musical and never regreted it. Of course there were the times when i doubted the director and choreographer, but those are just times which you look at afterwards and say, what was I thinking. you should never hesitate when the chance in a show comes up, especially in perth. Any performer who knows perth will tell you how many people in this business there are, and what little work there actually is. Take every opportunity to ur advantage. Simon

Speaking of Perth... does anybody know what musical auditions are on the cards for community/pro companies this year? Any insiders know whether the MS Society will be putting on another musical later this year?

The grapevine reports that the MS Society production will be Oliver, (this has not been confirmed however); also rumoured is a production of Trial by Jury at His Majesties (by the G&S society). Playlovers are doing Eurobeat in June/July, with auditions in Feb.....
