hey therei just directed
hey there
i just directed greasei n october for holroyd...
i told the auditonees to go for a song from one of the following:
hairspray
jersey boys
little shop of horrors
bye bye birdie
shout!
leader of the pack
however for grease, dont rule out singing an actual song from the fifties or sixties rock and roll era - sometimes in those songs, you can get the right intonations and vocal stylings than you can from a musical
eg /
rubber ball
tower of strength
poetry in motion
runaround sue
etc etc
good luck!

thanks for all your help.
thanks for all your help. in the end i think i will audition with something from smokey joe;s cafe it seems, a friend has the book which just makes it so much easier. do you have any suggestions for a song for a musical like little shop of horrors, which i also have an audition for?
