Another Lousy Day
Fri, 14 Feb 2003, 01:11 pmSaw this show last night, thursday 13 feb, and was really quite impressed. It's a one man show over for WA Fringe from Chicago about a man researching a woman's life from some of her diaries that he picks up in a bookstore.
It's quite interesting in that it seems that for a theatre production, the actual time the performer spends "acting" is quite minimal. It's kind of a presentation to the audience, but it still gets the audience interested and involved.
The only problem I had with the production was that I felt like I wanted to get a bit more inside of the woman's head, but since that was the whole point of the show, I guess I'm being a bit silly.
This show only runs until saturday in the Blackbox (artrage bakery arts centre) in Perth, as far I know, and definately could do with larger crowds! Get yer arse out to see this show and support some very interesting work on tour.
Keep it real,
Tomás Ford
