Mon, 26 June 2000, 10:07 amCalling all current and all never-done-it-before-but-like-to-have-a-bash directors!!!
This year, instead of the regular one act play season, Playlovers is creating a season of short Harold Pinter pieces for September 8,9,10 entitled "When Harry Met Playlovers"
This Sunday at 2pm at Hackett Hall, we will be having a get together for all prospective directors for the season. (Auditions for actors will be held in a fortnight - more on that later)
As the season includes some really short 5 minute sketches as well as monologues, exerpts and longer one act plays we are hoping to encourage lots of new directors and actors as well as more experienced participants.
The programme has been drawn up and includes "Victoria Station" "The Lover" monologues from "The Caretaker", exerpts from a radio play and a number of 5 min revue sketches. The programme is not set in stone, however, and if you are a director who is passionate about a particular Pinter piece, we can look at that too.
We plan to use a number of different areas of the venue and not just stick to the stage so it should be exciting and a bit different!
