Why Do We Do This?
Sat, 1 Apr 2000, 08:36 amJust a quick ponder - why do we do this? Plays, I mean. After all the late night rehearsals, lack of sleep, occasional (!) in-house bitching & quibbles, blocking out Friday & Saturday nights for a period......why after all that do we suddenly miss it all and decide to launch into another production! Are we crazy?

Tue, 11 Apr 2000, 11:32 amI agree with Kimberley's Dad,it's the journey not the destination on the whole. In fact after the shared experiences of the rehearsal, its joys, its tears, its traumas, sometimes its despairs the performances come as a bit of an anti-climax!
It's a bit like eagerly anticipated holidays as a child. For weeks you thought and dreamed about the holiday and then suddenly it was over and there was an empty feeling.
So you go off and do it all again
