Spoilt for choice
Fri, 11 Feb 2000, 07:47 amThe ITA website is currently listing no less than 15 theatre productions for this Friday evening... and there's an awful lot of stuff happening in the Fringe that doesn't appear on the list!
Maybe it's just been the shows that I've seen, but productions appear to be pulling very substantial crowds even with so much happpening around town. Has anyone been along to something with an empty house?
Mind you the publicity is getting better all the time! Check out this very flash (groan) promo for Blak Yak's latest production:
http://retro2000.qgl.org/blakyak/supper.html
Well done, Jeff A., it looks fantastic!
Cheers

RE: Spoilt for ... fringe?
It's a bit sad when i start replying to my own mail, i know.
Has anyone actually seen the PIAF Fringe programme???
I've spotted Festival programmes all over town, but have not been able to lay my hands on a Fringe one yet. Perhaps more disturbing is this notice on the Fringe website:
http://www.wafringe.com.au/programme.cfm
I'd love to include details of what's happening in the PIAF Fringe here on the ITA site, but... Apart from which, it's almost over now.
Cheers

RE: Spoilt for ... fringe?
Hi all,
I also have been waiting and waiting for the fringe festival programme have tried in vain to send them emails but I have it on some authority that the programme is included in this weeks XPRESS Magazine I believe it came out yesterday in Perth I will be able to get mine in Geraldton God knows when but oh well.
Also today there is a revue and photo of one of the fringe plays called The Red Desert, written by Bill McClusky so have a look.
Regards Jackie

The programme definitely appeared in XPRESS. Do you get XPRESS in Geraldton, Jackie?
Somewhat belatedly - PIAF and the Fringe finish this weekend - a notice has been posted on the Fringe site apologising for the programme not appearing:
http://www.wafringe.com.au/programme.cfm
I have heard that some Fringe shows have done extremely well in spite of these minor hiccups - great to hear!
Cheers

I've got to say it goes beyond computer genius status. Jeff is clearly a superb designer and graphic artist to boot!
Am i guessing right in thinking that he is responsible for designing the highly presentable flyers for the show too?
If anyone has not seen it already, check out the current production at this link:
http://retro2000.qgl.org/blakyak
You will need to have a Flash enabled browser to view the trailer - but ninety percent of people visiting this site would have that installed by default.
Congrats again Jeff and Blak Yak.
Cheers
Grant
PS. No flash trailers for King Lear, but it opens next Friday and what it lacks in computer wizardry, it will more than make up for in sheer entertainment value!
