Server errors!
Tue, 5 Oct 1999, 03:56 pmSincere apologies to all for the server errors experienced today on the site.My particular thanks to Informed Technology for not erasing my account in frustration at the Gossip section dragging the server to its knees for the second time in just two months!As the site gets busier, the message board system starts to demonstrate flaws under load that play havoc not just with visitors to this website but with everyone at my service provider. It's very serious, and i'm very appreciative of the tolerance shown by Stephen and the staff at IT.Because of the hassles with the old boards, i'm going to try and move the message boards over to the new system this weekend - some weeks ahead of schedule. It may not look very pretty, but i feel that continuity of service is the number one priority at this stage.CheersGrant

Mine eyes hath the glory of the coming of bifocals! I've gone blind!! It's not an Oedipus thing!! AAAAAAARRRRGH!Seriously, and I know it's an old gripe, but the colour scheme is not good- it becomes unreadable, and I won't be coming back to this site until it changes! Sound petulant? Maybe, but what if I were a "Joe Public" first-time browser? It's such a good site, but the colours have turned me off, and dat no good. Dat bad.El
