Re: NEWSFLASH: Have you say!
Did anyone catch the whole broadcast? I just snagged the tail end.It sounded very much to me as though Foss was trying to paint the issue as a union beat up; that the only people concerned at the demise of Effie Crump were militant, unionist actors. The ITA may have a role to play here. I'm hearing quite a few expressions of concern amongst ITA members. Is dismay at the demise of Effie's the exclusive domain of MEAA members? Or is this an issue that affects everyone with an interest in theatre in WA? Professional or amateur?I believe the fates of the ITA, its member companies and our professional industry are inextricably intertwined. What damages one sector will ultimately have its negative effects on the other. Many people with the profession have been very supportive of the ITA and its members in the past, is it time to reciprocate?CheersGrant
