This just in from Bryan Cullis of FRISC Theatre Company:****After spending many years at Melbourne's only specialist performing arts state high school, Ringwood Secondary College, and enjoying performing with my close friends, I thought I'd have a crack at trying to get them to help me start a theatre company. To my complete surprise, they said yes! And so, the FRISC Theatre Co. was born (Former RIngwood Secondary College Entertainers) with fifteen 1998 graduates from Ringwood Secondary College, two from Tintern Anglican Girls Grammar School and one 1997 graduate from Upwey High School. Together, we have come a huge way in only one month. Proudly supported by Ringwood Secondary College, FRISC Theatre Co. is set to put on its inaugural production of "Discovering Magenta", which is also the Australian and world premiere! Things are going well. Rehearsals have started, the score is being written, and we are in constant contact with the author and composer of the show in the United States. Our mission is to prove to the world that youth theatre is making it big, and can stand up to any adult amateur theatre company. Our friends from other youth theatre companies such as The 2nd Bestest Theatre Company are also out to show the world what we have to offer. There are many ways you can support the youth arts. You can come and see our shows, or become a member of the theatre company. And it just isn't us that need your support. Support all the other youth theatre companies in Australia, and give the youth of this country a fair go. You can become a member by e-mailing us at member.frisce@iname.com, visit our website at http://www.bcity.com/frisce, or contact the company itself at frisce@iname.com. You can also phone us on 03 9754 2416 or 0417 349 434, and snail mail us at "FRISC Theatre Co., P.O. Box 1181, Upwey VIC 3158".
