Who's Ron?
Wed, 12 Feb 2003, 04:31 pmJust in case anyone is wondering about the latest poll, I suspect it's WA-centric and relates to Arts Editor for The West Australian newspaper, Ron Banks.
Am i right Craig? Do i win a prize?

Yes, sorry, didn't think of that until I'd clicked the new topic over...it's not going to make a lot of difference to anyone outside WA (and probably not a lot to us either). But other states should feel free to substitute their arts editor's name for 'Ron' and then the poll results will still be relevant.
However - since Grant's given me the keys to drive this poll-mobile, it'd be great for some new suggestions to be added to the list. There's not a huge list to choose from at present, and seeing as the last poll showed that we'd prefer a higher turnover, it's up to the readers to add more topics for discussion. (Find 'Submit Poll' on the menu on the home page).
The majority wanted polls to change weekly, but the next largest vote was happy with monthly. I'll probably change it up a bit, depending on just how much interest a topic generates (and obviously also on my own time constraints) but I lean toward a quicker turnaround. It needs to be left up long enough to get a representational number of votes, but not so long that nobody cares anymore. (...Or if there aren't many votes because nobody cared in the first place).
As Poll-roller I take no responsibility for the quality of argument demonstrated in the poll topics ...especially where they are my own suggestions.
Cheers,
Craig
