OK, right, so, theoretically, Perth is a city with enough people to support a good quality theatre scene. As it currently stands, seems to me that there is an absolutely fabbo scene over here that suffers from a lack of interest on behalf of the general public.

I've heard people talking in hushed, reverent tones about other cities in Australia... Melbourne, Brisvegas, Adelaide... and with the unfortunate exception of the latter, I'm not familiar with the scenes over there and was wondering if anybody would like to fill me in on the true, gritty, dirty reality of the situation?

Is Melbourne the thespian's paradise that audience-starved Perth-ites make it out to be?

Is there something going on that I don't know about that is downright dirty-funky in any other city?

Is three questions enough to stimulate discussion?

Oh, uhhh, um, is that four?

Five?

Grrrrr. Keep it real,

Tomás Ford
