Whinge about OnlineWA

I'm stuck at home and you know what they say about idle hands...

:-)

Been having a bit of to and fro with the people at OnlineWA:

This glorious government instrumentality claims to be the bees knees for information about WA. And except for an appalling interface (like i should talk) it provides a fair amount of information.

However, for more than a year i've been trying to get this site listed here:

Twice i've been told they only list government agencies and services, twice i've pointed out that this page alone includes links to several commercial bodies and more than twice i've eventually been assured we will be added to their site. Most recently:

Six months and a couple more enquiries later the page has been updated and now includes four more commercial links and notably not a mention of Theatre Australia again.

Incompetence? Disingenuousness?

You betcha.

I reckon they're second only to the paragons of inefficiency at OnlineWA Communities:

"This is your link to Western Australia and its people - wander in to see who you meet."

"Join the Online WA Communities gateway and we'll provide a link directly to your community portal."

Don't get your hopes up. I've tried repeatedly to raise a response from these people and not had so much as an echo in response!

*phew*

Well, got that off my chest. Have a nice day!

:-)

Cheers
Grant
