Peer Pressure
Fri, 13 July 2001, 08:44 pmDammit, everyone else is plugging their own shows I thought I'd throw in one of my own. I know, most people are at least tacking it on to one of the other subjects, but I have less shame than most (any adverse comments, the person will be hunted down and ritually massacred).
COME AND SEE TRAVESTIES at Roleystone. It's going to be a fantastic show with something for everyone. There's some Dada (we've heard all the jokes by now thank you very much), some Zimmervaldism (they're not quite Communists, but they dine with us), some Wilde (hacked to pieces, twisted, turned and put back together again), a little bit of dancing (with a striptease thrown in for good measure), and cross dressing (thought that would get your attention Jarrod).
We open in two weeks time, don't make me work out the dates. Bookings can be made at Roleystone on: (08)9397 6624.
Melissa
P.S. See Travesties.

Sorry for the late reply. The new tights I've been wearing are very tight around the groin and have cut off some of the oxygen supply to my brain. I told the director of Amadeus that I'd much prefer to wear my own stockings and suspenders (as recommended to me by Deano) but I had to lend them to the ladies in the cast. As impressive as the made-from-scratch 18th Century frocks are, they pale in comparison to the mysteries beneath. No binoculars needed in this case! (Unless you weren't actually being literal, and that was just a very clever euphemism...)
How did the short film go? I rang Kayti after she posted a message looking for "an actor willing to play a young stripper", but was told you'd already beaten all contenders.
