RE: Aida Marches On!!!!!!!
Howdy fellow web-geeks,
A week ago, the good ship "After Aida" was able to secure the services of the redoubtable Alexander Plattz, one of Perth's most respected and experienced professional tenors, who kindly agreed to step in at ridiculously short notice and sing extended excerpts from "Aida", "Rigoletto", and "Otello", thus ensuring that the ship would safely dock this coming Friday night.
If you have been left in the dark over this, I apologise. But, as I'm sure you can imagine, I've been rather busy (when I haven't been buying and bonking, I've been blocking and bumping in!)
So fear not, Leah... someone lent us a tenor (to coin a never-more-appropriate phrase), and we are on course for arrival.
And for those of you out there with a hankering for something funny, fascinating, unusual, and stylishly-done (even if I do say so myself), trip along to the Dolphin Theatre this weekend or any of the following two weekends (Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays) and check out this epic production that combines actors, opera singers, and chocolate cakes.
see you there,
David M.
(finally finished purchasing and fornicating... now happily indulging in a bit of diva wrangling!)
