A great quote from Robert S. McNamara from The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life.

"Your damed if you do and your damed if you don't and I'd rather be damed if I don't"

I guess patients is a virtue.

No. Patience is a virtue. Patients are those sick, broken people you find in hospitals.

I'm pretty sure Robert S. McNamara didn't quite put it like that.

For a start I bet he knew what an apostrophe was - in the word "you're".

And what sort of verb is "to be DAMED" ? Is that when you get to be the man who plays the Widow Twankey in a Pantomime..?

Doctor Surge, you're trying my patients...

Cheers

serge

have an idea. why don't ya do a script based on your experiences in the theatre australia site. it'd be a winner. but it'd be f***king dull as these continuous postings. there's a girl/guy called claude on this site who could help ya with the casting too. take a hint...or pretend to be someone else, for god's sake. and the mcnamara ref..?!? get a life, pal!
who do you think you are, tony abbott?

Depends on how much time McNamara spent with J Edgar Hoover. Eddie apparently knew a bit about frocking up...
