Wont anyone take pity on a poor teenager who needs a job
Sun, 13 June 2004, 04:36 pmHi, sorry to suck you into reading this, but i have posted this message before and got no response whatsoever. my name is Luke Heath I have recently been involved in a locally (western australia) written and performed play called "A Fractured Fairytale" and i believe that it has touring possibilities, it worked well with some of the cast as young as 5 years old, and no one aged older than 19. BUT, that doesnt always have to be the case. It was just a good oppertunity for the young kids to get some experience that they wouldnt have otherwise had. So, to cut a long story short, i am looking for companies in other states that would be interested in performing it. I am willing to direct it myself, but if not, i would like to help some how, so i can make sure it stays as close to the original as possible.
I am contactable on 0403328830 or (08) 92504203.

In my opinion, Luke, your strategy to get noticed this time is probably going to horribly backfire.
Most readers are so totally sick of all the posts that say things like 'give an x-year-old a job' that they are not even going to open your post, let alone send you a response. The fact you posted this three times made it look even more like spam...not helping your cause at all, and so no, not earning you any pity.
I'm not sure either that the content of your post is going to entice theatre companies to seek you out...they probably need a lot more information to show any interest. I suggest you send copies of your script to a few companies to let them read it and give some feedback; or at least send a more detailed synopsis and perhaps reviews to pitch your play.
Cheers,
Craig
