Canberra the land of oppurtunity haha!!
Mon, 30 June 2003, 08:13 amHi
My name is Leah, I am a 20 year old actress living in Canberra, as Im sure you are all aware is not exactly thriving with auditions. It is sometimes hard to stay on the grapevine when it comes to screen work so I thought that I would let people know that I am here if they need me.
EXPERIENCE:
Lead role in feature film
Screen extra work
Tons of short films
Lots of commercials
Plenty of theatre work, musicals
I am willing to travel, and I hope to hear from anyone looking for a dedicated actress.
If you would like to email me any work that you may have coming up, I'll send you my stats, experience etc.
Thanx for your time
Leah

Hi Leah,
Nice letter! I know where you're coming from!
Just wondering if you know anyone (yourself included) who would be
interested/suitable for the following roles for a project that the
National
Recording Studio is doing.
They are hoping to do a screen test and select actors the week after
next
with view to filming the following week.
All actors have quite a few lines so experienced people would be
preferred.
The footage will be used for in house/educational purposes.
It is a paid gig for all actors but they don't have a huge budget. They
have
quoted aprox 100 to $300 for each role depending on screen time/lines
etc.
Client: Pharmaceutical Society of Australia Producer/Director:
Trevor
Ellis
Actors needed : 10
MALE PARTS :
Doctor, mid 30's, any physical appearance/ethnicity.
73 year old male (war veteran) slightly overweight, any ethnicity.
Pharmacist, late forties, caucasion, average build.
73 year old, overweight, any ethnicity.
FEMALE ROLES:
Community pharmacist, late 30's, any ethnicity, average build.
80 year old, slightly overweight, any ethnicity.
Specialist, late 30's, any physical appearance/ethnicity.
Patient's daughter, mid 50's, Caucasion, any physical appearance.
Shift mgr/Nurse, mid 50's, any physical appearance/ethnicity.
Nurse, late 40's, any ethnicity, average build.
Please let people know that it would be a great opportunity to have
their
cv's submitted to the NRS in any case (even if they are unsuccessful in
casting) as there are always jobs cropping up, (some which have far
bigger
budgets!) and they are keen to keep everyone on file for future
reference.
Any help would be much appreciated and please feel free to forward this
email.
PLEASE CONTACT Trevor Ellis at NRS for further details: 02) 62516333
or
email your details and role that you're interested in to
trevorellis@nrsgroup.com.au
Cheers, Jacinta.
