I need a woman to play the lead role in "Fish Will Be Lovely" in August. It is a very specific part and therefore may be difficult to fill. "Elizabeth" is a late 40s/50 woman who must be very timid and ordinary at the beginning but blossom at the end of the play. She is married to a significantly older but attractive man and is currently being pursued by a younger, also attractive but more earthy, man (the fishmonger). The role requires some scenes where she is wearing only underwear and also requires great sensitivity by the actor. If you think you might be "Elizabeth" and might be interested in the role, please email or ring Julia on 0412 670 449.

Hi Julia,

Your play sounds interesting. Is this a Brisbane based production and paid work? Didn't say in the info.

I am a graduate from The Actors Conservatory with a few years professional experience. Prof productions include: 'Betrayl-Emma'(Hogan Productions), 'Importance of Being Earnest- Gwendolyn'(Brisbane Theatrical Productions), 'Stepping Out- Dorothy'(Mixed Co) to name a few. I am 29 years old, but it seems my lot that almost every role I'm cast in is ten years older. But hey, that's life.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks,

Linda Beatty
