Melbourne Deputy Theatre Editor Needed
Tue, 15 Oct 2002, 04:00 pmHello
Vibewire.net is a new non-profit youth website created for young people by young people, to enable young people to create, discuss and participate in their own culture. One of the fastest growing sections is our theatre section (artswire). We now have a committed and talented team of writers in Melbourne, however, we now need an editor to manage them...
Duties are:
· liaison with publicity agents for tickets/interviews for reviews, features and profiles in your state and organising distribution with writers
· regular communication with the Editor regarding content development, writers, etc
· regular communication with writers; setting deadlines, delegating articles etc
· editing content, which will then be given final approval by Editor
· recruitment of writers
· weekly newsletters to state contributors
It's a voluntary position and about 10-15 hours of work per week. It's also heaps of fun and a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about their theatre and writing (experience not necessary, just heaps of energy and commitment!).
If you're interested, or know anyone who might be, please contact me on 0407 368 721.
