Putting on an Act

Tuesday - Saturday 11-15 July 2000
Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts is seeking proposals from ARTISTS* working in the areas of performance art, contemporary dance, experimental music, sound and/or text based works, physical theatre - from experimental to the indefinable for its annual performance festival, Putting on an Act. Works may be either very brief or short - absolutely no longer than 20 mins duration.
PICA will provide the venue, publicity, technical support and (limited) facilities. Please bear in mind that this is a festival set up and that heavy sets and technically complex works are inappropriate in an event which relies on fast turn-arounds.
Proposals should include: a brief description of the work, the title, the length, technical requirements and the names and brief biographical information on the artist or group.
