LOCATION: SYDNEY
FILMING: 23 SEPTEMBER – 7 OCTOBER
ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are seeking two female actors who are passionate about their craft, unique individuals willing to take part in a creative, challenging, and rewarding process.
SYNOPSIS
‘WITHOUT’ is a coming of age story centered around the changing and volatile relationship between a mother and daughter whom struggle to deal with the harsh reality of getting by on a limited income. Their ability to get back on their feet, as well as support each other through tough times, will have profound consequences on both their relationship and future.
CHARACTER SUMMARIES
ANGIE (12 - 18)
A zealous, idealistic teenager whose Christian faith has been at the center of her beliefs. Despite the hardship she and her mother face, her religion and unwavering optimism remain a source of light in an otherwise bleak set of circumstances.
SARAH (36 - 42)
An attractive and resourceful woman whom after a series of unstable relationships has fallen short of her own expectations. In an attempt to make up for past mistakes, she sets her sights on landing her dream job, an undertaking which will make her self-sufficient and also the role model her daughter needs.
**POSITIONS ARE PAID. ACTORS WILL ALSO RECEIVE A DVD COPY OF THE FILM ONCE IT HAS COMPLETED THE FESTIVAL CIRCUIT.
