ACTOR NEEDED for Short Film: PERTH

"STILL TAKE YOU HOME" The story of two English migrant best friends, living in Australia approaching an intersection in their relationship. ‘Sam’ wishes to discover his true potential at university and break the boundaries of this social class bubble he has lived in his whole life. ‘Milk’, content with a simpler life of working his manual labouring job, coming home, showering and hitting the local pub, sees this as a betrayal of who and what he is and where he comes from. The film follows the two young men on a not so average night out in their local pub where the break-up is about to begin. 1 x Male Requred: MILK (age 18-25) Milk is a character (20 year old English lad) who is able to change between moods at the blink of an eye. The surface Milk is the one he is well known for, but tonight the mask is slipping and he is showing signs of the real Milk. On the surface the mask he wears is one of the Party Boy, the instigator. He is trouble and he loves it. This face he wears doesn’t care what happens to him. Punch him, swear at him, tell him how shit he is and it rolls off him like water off a duck’s back. He is arrogant, he is loud, he is obnoxious, he drinks a lot and he loves every second of it. However below the surface there is a lot more going on with Milk than most people realize. The reason he doesn’t appear to care what happens to himself is because he does not believe himself worthy of being worried about. He came from nothing just like Sam and he will remain as nothing. As it is a student production, no payment can be made to the actors. However we are more than happy to distribute a copy for your show reel. Shooting dates are from the 12-20th of September.
