Dinner with a View Inc is seeking actress (Age 55 +) for lead role in its upcoming production of The Piano Teacher by Julia Cho.

Performance: Oct 23 to Nov 27 (saturday evenings), 2010
Language: English, Standard American Accent
Mrs. K is an elderly woman of western European decent. She lives by herself in a small suburban town. She whiles away her time reminiscing about her late husband and the children she taught long ago as a piano instructor. One day, she finds herself compelled to call her old students, but is it out of loneliness or some other, darker need?
This is the lead role for the Piano Teacher. We are looking for someone with strong skills and a solid background as an actor. The role of Mrs K is a demanding one that requires an actor of high skill level and commitment . It would be an advantage if the actor can also play the piano, as there is a moment where Mrs K performs a short piece.
Dinner with a View Inc is newly created theatre company aiming to present eclectic cabaret theatre evenings. Dinner with a View endeavours to explore original approaches of theatre and audience in an informal and intimate environment.
