Actors/resses for short film to be shot in Sydney wanted!
Mon, 3 May 2010, 05:18 pmHello!,
My name’s Eloise, and I’m a graduate from Sydney Film School looking for a three actors for an eight minute, budgetless film I’m shooting for Sydney College of the Arts (SCA).
The film is called I Have Infantile Amnesia (working title), and explores the psychological concept of infantile amnesia (the period of infancy/ early childhood whereby attentional limitations and defectively encoded experiences prohibit us from remembering what has happened to us).
The Michel Gondry-esque script plays with time, space and memory, and features the driving character, Phoena, seeking the Memory Reconstitution services of Dr N. M. Nemo of Memoria Technica.
I am looking for a young, willowy woman (preferably Caucasian, and between the ages of 20-30) to play Phoena.
I am also looking for a young girl (preferably under the age of eight) to play Phoena’s childhood self. It would be fabulous if the actresses who play Phoena and Young Phoena are related (mother and daughter, siblings, cousins etc), so that there is a physical likeness between characters.
Finally I need an older man (preferably over the age of 40) to play Dr N. M. Nemo. Alternately, I am open to casting a similarly aged woman in this role.
The shoot will take place over two and a half days- one day will be dedicated to shooting at Balmoral beach, the other at my house in Glebe, and the half day at SCA’s green screen studio (actors will not be needed for this last day). It will most likely take place from the 15th through to the morning of the 17th of this month.
The cast will not be payed, but coffee, tea, light sandwiches, biscuits will be provided, as well as invaluable show reel material :).
Email eloisemaree@hotmail.com if you wish to see a copy of the script, shot list, or just ask a general question!
Any volunteers for these positions will be treated as warmly as possible by my small crew, and shall hopefully thoroughly enjoy this experience.
Eloise
(PS, if you are reading this and know a small drama group or some aspiring actors/resses that might want to take part in this, please forward this ad on!!)
