"Avatar" - a play in one act by Mark Lucas
Mon, 23 July 2007, 07:04 pmCast: 2 Female, 1 Male. Light comedy. (Running time 45 mins)
Precis:
“Stupidity flies on broken wings”
Virgil is no angel but when he comes face to face with Anastasia while burgling her home, he wears a different hat… or is that halo!? An open window and Virgil’s brolly-wielding nemesis Charlotte add to his misfortune as the race for the inheritance turns into a battle of half-wits.
Author’s Note:
Avatar was chance to try something different with comedy. While at times bordering on the farcical, this is a comedy that focuses a little more on telling a story with the characters playing a part as opposed, I guess, to the characters being the story.
Winner of 23 awards - 2002.
