Radical Wizardry are searching for THREE composers for: ----------------DON CLAUDE DEVIOUS---------------- "Among thousands and thousands of musicals, there is one that particularly stands out... There is simply nothing else like Ryan Letizia's Don Claude Devious, and if there ever is in the future, it will be a mere imitation. This classic saga of love, death and innocence lost, loosely inspired by Beauty and the Beast, is a gothic tale of epic proportions, written with such power and intensity that it attains an elevated, dreamlike quality that most musicals can only aspire to. Songs such as "Expulsion From Paradise," "Beyond Imagination" and "Set the Night on Fire" and the terrifying "Black Cathedral" heighten this effect, while at the same time never sacrificing characterization for mere atmosphere. Emily, who we see as the show progresses, loses her innocence and awakens to the harsh realities of the world around her, is one of the all time great heroines, and will not soon be forgotten. And neither will the title character, the demonic, frightening Don Claude Devious, who, evil as he is, still remains strangely pitiful. All of this combines to make the ultimate gothic musical. I'm afraid that musical theater, as a whole, is in a bit of a downside at the moment, and it truly needs shows like this to bring it back to its feet... Nik Janev, of Channel Nine's Starstruck fame, stars in the lead role of D.C., a triumphant villain who wields a legendary, animate guitar! "Don Claude Devious" is the first of a trilogy - incorporating "Don Claude Returns" and "Don Claude Eternity", which sees the destruction of the world itself - culminating in the greatest moving hard rock / heavy metal / operatic stage-spectacular of ALL time. An ambitious project, set for development over the next thirty years, will see a concept recording, live intimate stage-concert, touring production, spectacular, a carnival tour de force, motion picture, circus event and the greatest show on earth. YOU, too, can have your chance to be involved... Other creations from the "Don Claude" moniker will include a band, "Don's Enchanted Slaves", and the most outlandish hard rock / experimental recording since "Bat Out Of Hell" by Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf, the aptly-named "Don Claude Goes To Hell".
