NORTH FREMANTLE, W.A- Skimpy Theatre, W.A’s newest idependent theatre company is proud to announce the arrival in Perth of ‘Pub Theatre.’ At the infamous 108 year old pub, The Railway Hotel, Tydeman Rd. North Fremantle, once the ‘skimpys’ go home, Skimpy Theatre begins. However, OUR brand of ‘skimpy’ stands for- thrifty, small, affordable, succinct, SHORT- three new short plays by young Australian playwrights- Pub Shorts, starring three of Perth’s finest comic actors- Mike Frencham, Claire Hooper and Damon Lockwood.
Pub Shorts brings to the Railway, from 25th March, three short comedies- The 5th At Randwick by Perth born-Sydney based Travis Cotton- winner of the Naked Theatre CompanyÂ’s Top Shorts, Morning On A Rainy Day by Sydneysider Van Badham after its rave reviews at The Edinburgh Fringe, and Chat by local playwright David Ryding written especially for the venue
The 5th...sees the story of Jim who’s struggling to escape an Italian ‘gentleman’ who ‘wantsa revenga.' Morning... begins as Polly awakens to the one thing she’s forever trying to escape. And Chat invites you to the first meeting of Kate and Mike - awkward silence provided, B.Y.O. disaster date memories.
Aaron Beach and Lauren Steenholdt direct this brave venture into the exciting realm of ‘theatre without the theatre, but with the BEER!’
Pub Shorts- Runs from March 25th to 27th of March
with a follow-up season from the 6th to the 8th of April at 8.30pm,

Tickets prices $16 adult and $12 for concession and anyone aged 27 and under (+ booking fee.)
