Or should that be free SHOW this Sunday?

Check out Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew in Australia's only open air, replica Elizabethan theatre, the New Fortune Theatre at the University of Western Australia. And, yes! It's a day time performance, very much as Will's plays used to be performed - altho' a few degrees warmer!

Going on the experiences of the past 9 years, the last week of this year's season is bound to sell out, so grab this excellent early opportunity to catch the show live and free this Sunday afternoon at 4pm.

This a great opportunity and maybe the only one for those of you currently involved in productions elsewhere to get along and see Stephen Lee's directorial debut in Perth.

Probably not for the Sunday Mel. Just rock up.

But any of you patrons who want to come and see some high quality and piss funny Shakespeare on opening night THIS FRIDAY, or the second night THIS SATURDAY or any of the rest of the run (Wednesday to Saturday for two weeks after this week) probably will need to book.

Ring to book on 9362 5893 and see me in my first real Shakespeare and fabulous early 50's hat!!

Or Dario Dalla Costa sing like an angel and make rude hand gestures. Or David Meadows finally get slapped in the face on stage (now really, who hasn't wanted to see that?). Or Maggie McPhee with her costume falling off (although that might be fixed by opening night, so no promises). Or Collin O'Brien reaching for his baretta. Or Kim Martin indulging in a little drunken booty-shaking. Or Shirley Welch Dietrich-esque in a three piece suit. Or Mark Blades hitting Tony Petani over the head with a guitar while Tony desperately tries to keep his balance and wonders where that pesky Hogan has gone (in-joke, must see the play to get that one...)

And more!! MUCH MORE!!!! This is truely Shakespeare for the peanut gallery folks, no high brow here, all people talking in funny accents, then slipping on banana peels while telling dick jokes.

See you there!!!

Leah
