Vocal and Acting Workshop W.A.
Wed, 11 Dec 2002, 11:35 amNeed to know more about vocal and theatrical skills? Come along to the JETS workshops in Feb 2003.
Topics to be covered in the vocal workshop will include respiration, phonation, resonant tone production, diction and expression. There will also be a musical theatre masterclass from 3.30pm on 15 Feb. Volunteers will be needed.
In the drama workshop we will look at stage terminology, production personnel, basic stage craft and the art of acting including gestures and expressions.
DATES: Feb 8 2003 Drama. Feb 15 2003 Vocal both 11.00a.m. to 5.00p.m.
VENUE: Community Hall, Christmas Ave Heathridge.
REQUIREMENT: a positive attitude, a thirst for knowledge and a willingness to enjoy oneself.
COST: $25.00

Workshop will be conducted by Christine Fillis A.R.C.M., Certif of Ed. (Leeds), who has performed with the Gilbert & Sullivan Society, the West Aust Opera Co. and Australian Opera. She has taught music for many years both in Aust and UK, lectured at Edith Cowan University and vocal coach for many productions around Perth. Christine also teaches singing privately and is currently very involved in the local music scene.
