Good! :) Y'all should come along to my band's cabaretolicious halloween spectacular, "Blood Flavoured Sports Drink" at the black box theatre in Northbridge, as part of Artrage 2002. PERTH BAND ASSAULTS HALLOWEEN
Perth's most psychotic electronically musical showpeople Descend Here will be launching all out cabaret warfare to celebrate Halloween on the 31st of October as part of Artrage 2002. The band's show "Blood Flavoured Sports Drink" sees them telling stories of vampires, confusion, fear and pumpkins. Support acts come in the form of Alan Boyd: Antipoet, Jason Mills, twisted electronic guru Noobis and a selection of other suprise guests.
Descend Here are about record an EP over summer with the guidance of Leon Ewing (Beaverloop, Up Syndrome) thanks to a sparkly new ArtsWA grant and have been steadily building a following in Perth's dingiest bohemian dives. This will be the first time the band as a whole has been let loose on a theatre since the success of their first work for PICA's 2002 Putting On An Act, "The Long Wait" and they plan to make the space explode with excitement.
"Blood Flavoured Sports Drink" will be unleashed into Artrage's Black Box theatre space in James Street, Northbridge on Thursday October 31, 2002 at 8:30 for a measly $12 ($10 concession). Tickets are available from Artrage (9227 6288) or at the door from 8pm on the night. Victims are encouraged to dress up for optimum enjoyment.
