WA Fringe Festival
Thu, 15 Aug 2002, 02:54 pmGreetings from the Fringe!
I've recently taken on the role of helping develop diversity in the WA Fringe Festival. Among other things, we'd like to see more regional, youth and community artists and events included in the festival.
The Fringe is not an 'alternative' festival but an open, non-curated festival that runs in February. It is open to all artforms and artists. While funding is not available from us, we can offer such things as statewide media exposure, help with publicity and venue support where possible.
We also have awards! There will be three $5,000 awards for various artforms and a $10,000 award for a new media work.
For more information, contact the office on (08) 9221 0333 or e-mail me at
bill@wafringe.com.au
Cheers,
Bill
