That is the question facing Irish Theatre Players on Monday 30th August.Notice of an Extraordinary General Meeting has been posted to past, present and potential members of the Irish Theatre Players. The notice contains a motion to consider winding up the activities of the group.ITP was founded in 1981 and rose to prominence with many excellent and award winning productions. However, the group has been unable to stage some recent seasons and will not be entering the One Act Drama Festival for the first time in almost 20 years. The future of the company has been placed in the hands of the EGM called forMonday 30th August 8pm

Not only, but also, Mandurah little Theatre at their AGM on the 22nd September, so it is alleged they have 6 Committee members who are either not standing or jumping off the leaky boat(the President has already left the Theatre I am told) because it is all too much, what with having to vacate their premises and try and build a new one, (which will cost about $25 000.00 for some less than usefull plans aparently?) not counting the stress of this last year!Sorry - The Irish Players demise would be a tragidy that we can not afford. As for MLT - this might be a refreshing bonus??????Joe "Non finacial member (at present)" McCabe
