What next?

 

A number of people have asked in various fora what happened over the weekend and what the future holds for theatre australia.

In the absence of an announcement here by the ITA committee, I'm not in a position to provide any assurance beyond the fact that the people that were responsible for redelegating this domain or web address to another site have no capacity to remove the website content as such. This much is protected.

I administered the domain for 13 years and this was recently taken over by the committee without notice. The committee have apparently instructed that the domain should point back at this website.

There have been several approaches to office bearers asking whether the committee would be prepared to consider transferring the domain to another incorporated association capable of more adequately representing the interests of the community around this site but a decision is understandably not expected until the committee meets.

I think there is every reason to believe that this plan will be endorsed by the committee and can foresee no other barrier to the transfer of the domain to a more appropriate not-for-profit body.
