Someone More Powerful - for lovers of locked-room mysteries. There will be a rehearsed-reading of a this new play by James Forte at The Blue Room (downstairs) theatre, Perth at 6.30pm on Friday 10th May. Admission is free but contact jamesforte@y7mail.com to ensure you have a seat. GLD, the world’s Greatest Living Detective, is about to retire. Unfortunately, he has two problems. First, which of his status-seeking children, Wat or Celine, is to inherit the detective agency? Second, what is to be done about his only unsolved case? For ten years, the details have been hidden away inside the Vatican archives. But, with the appointment of a new Pope imminent, there is an urgent need to solve the ultimate murder mystery. How could a stranger gain entrance and then be killed in front of a large audience of Cardinals - and then the weapon and the body disappear from within the double-locked, sealed and guarded Sistine Chapel during a Papal election? Audiences are invited, in this parody of the impossible-crime genre, to try and beat our sleuths to a solution. There are no less than four locked-room mysteries awaiting your analysis. Alternatively, you can just sit back and enjoy the fun.
