The Flowers Don’t Grow Here Anymore AUDITIONS in Perth on Thursday 4 and Saturday 6 October 2012 Writer/Director: Josie Parrelli Genre: Drama Length: 15 mins Synopsis: After the funeral of a close friend, married couples Martha, Brian, Paul and Suzie spend the afternoon reflecting on the friendships and relationships they have had since school. Everyone is talking except Paul who is consumed with anger and refuses to be a part of the reminiscing. What is the truth behind Paul’s anger? ROLES: • Suzie: Nurturing loving person, with an underlying strength, married to Paul (30s – 40s) • Brian: Successful career man, married to Martha (30s – 40s) • Martha: Sweet, unfazed and goes about her business, married to Brian (30s – 40s) • Freddie: Everyone’s best friend who has passed away (30s – 40s) *** Auditions are being held on Thursday 4th October: 10am-2pm and Saturday 6th October: 11am-4pm *** Filming will take place in Perth from 14 – 16 Dec 2012.
