I don't know any of these

I don't know any of these people.
MusicalMumWed, 23 Feb 2011, 04:38 pm

And your point is.....

....what...exactly?
Robert J WhyteThu, 24 Feb 2011, 08:56 am

Well Walter...

....you will get to see some new faces, and I assure you they are all very capable performers and will give some of the regulars a run for their money. Regards Robert ;)

And also...

The people you have "heard of" would, at one stage; been people that noone had heard of either. QED

Unknown knowns

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. Who are these dudes?

Added to which.......

....this is COMMUNITY THEATRE....not a small closed circle of chosen few who get cast over and over and over...... ....And yes, I will be upfront & acknowledge I have a vested interest here, but that said, it's pretty fascinating to me that 2 posters, who apparently aren't brave enough to identify themselves, are so concerned about who we are. What does it matter? You know the theatre group, you know the Director, you presumably know the play. As far as I know, this is not the first time for any of us 'on the boards'. And some of us have been seen in a few productions round town very recently. So maybe Mr/s Anon 1 & 2 should get out more. ;) Come see the show & find out who we are. After all, is the proof not in the pudding? :)

To the two anonymous

To the two anonymous posters hiding behind pseudonyms: Who are YOU and what qualifies you to make such stupid, pointless observations? You may each have received more civil response if you'd thought to say something like "I'm not familiar with these names. Can you please tell me a little about them?"

Robert, I'm very pleased that you've at last been able to fully cast your production and I look forward to seeing some fresh faces. All the best to you...and to them!

Fresh faces

It's nice to be called a fresh face - certainly preferable to "Oh god, it's her again!" I think it's a testament to how rich in talent Perth's community theatre is that I've never worked with any of the other cast members before. I'm looking forward to getting into rehearsal! I'm surprised that Robert's posting of the cast list has provoked a - albeit small - negative response, because it's something I wish more directors would do. I will frequently go along to see a show just because I know someone in the cast. We all have limited free time and cash and can't see every show that crops up. Sometimes knowing the cast list makes the difference between buying a ticket or not.

Trolls

There are a handful of regulars on this site whom are regularly targeted by Internet Trolls. Robert is one of them.

To all posting here, my advice is Moderate Troll postings and do not feed them.
