'The Beat must end this weekend' a final word from Johnny Grim
Thu, 2 Dec 2010, 05:22 pmFriends, Romans, Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, Atheists, Church of Scientology go-getters, The Brethren of Dr Who worshippers, Servants of the Wiggles...you are all cordially invited to come along and check out the light from a new stained glass window. The church of the holy 'lads in sane' invite you to join The Beat goes on tour to Mecca (STOP PRESS! News just in is that the tour bus has broken down at the Midland Junction Arts Centre, and the driver reports it's not looking good, with the engine falling out 5 k's out from the Don Russell). It's 4 days turn around for a recon engine from Shifty Sid's Motor Exchange and we have to setup camp in Midland for 4 nights, as we await Sid's delivery. Sorry! I'm reliably informed it's 3 nights, (2/3/4 December), and one lazy Sunday arvo (5 December).
By joining the tour, not only will you get to see a fun show, but you prevent our spiritual bleeder Johnny Grim from joining the throng lining up for reheated rabbit and leek soup at the Salvo's. Tickets for our final shows are not selling fast, due to the fact that everyone's going to see the range of wonderful / well known non-original good feel musicals playing at every theatre near you. Here's your chance to be different, a veritable rebel without a cause, and make a stand for almost ORIGINAL theatre. Alternatively, you can forever hold your peace and last verse of 'Good King Wenchless last looked out as his ex wife feasted on Steven!! The tour bus awaits. Hope you can join us.
For event details and to buy tickets please contact the overworked and underpaid (what do you mean I'm not getting paid to do this?) Teena either by
email to alis-bookings@hotmail.co.uk or by mobile - 0431 930 345.
All bookings for this evenings performance Thursday 2/12/10 will be at the bargain basement price of $15 per ticket.
cheers
JG
